Draft: this page is pending review and may change before the key goes on sale.
This site collects as little as it can. We don't sell your data or use advertising trackers.
What we collect
- When you get a key (free or paid): your email address, your name if you give it, the date of your first key, whether it was free or paid and what you paid, and whether you ticked Email me news about Cockpit Manager (and when). We use your email and name to send your key, to send it again if you lose it, and to help you when you write to us.
- News: only if you tick that box, which starts unticked. Every news email has a link that stops it, and you can also ask us at the address below.
- When you pay for a key: Polar, our Merchant of Record, collects your name, email, billing country and payment details. We receive your name, email, the amount and the order's details from Polar; we never see your card.
- When you report a problem or ask for a feature (in the app or on this site): what you write, any screenshot or file you attach, the app's version and Windows version, and your email if you give one. The app also sends a random identifier made when it was installed, not tied to you or your PC's hardware. Reports are filed in a private issue tracker on GitHub; your email is never put there. What appears on the public Issues and Feature requests pages is written by us, without your name or email.
- When you follow a feature request (you ticked Email me updates about this request): we keep your email with that request, and when you ticked the box. We email you when its status changes (once it is on the public list, planned, shipped or declined), and at most once a day when it gets new votes. Nothing is sent while it waits for our review. Every one of these emails has aStop updates about this request link, and you can also ask us at the address below.
- Limits against abuse: to limit how many reports, votes, free keys and key requests come from one connection, we keep a scrambled value made from your network address, never the address itself.
- When you ask for your key again: the address you enter, for a day, to limit how often it can be asked.
- Your cockpit and your sims: never. Cockpit Manager runs on your PC and doesn't upload your setup.
Who processes it
- Polar: payments, tax and invoices (Polar privacy policy).
- Cloudflare: hosts this site and its database.
- Resend: delivers emails (your key, replies about reports).
- GitHub: our private issue tracker.
